my friend did some damage to his engine a 2.0 8v mk2
and it need a rebuild but hes been offered another one for £700 with warranty
i think its alot anyone know anywhere there are xe with warrantys or LETs?

correct me if i am wrong, the only XE's and LETs you will get on warranty will be on exchange from vaux?

2.0ltr 8v IS NOT WORTH £700
you could probably buy 10 used 20SEH lumps from the scrappy, and still have change...
shit he could probably get three used 20XE's for that money... one of them would have to be good!!!!

dunno, based in the rep of ireland here, but i think i heard mention of a price of around £1k for the c20xe, and thats on exchange, they need one in exchange, they take anything as long as there isnt a hole in it 
something to do with being able to keep a stock of them.
