been offerd a gsi engine from my best mate for nothing.first question is would i be daft to turn it down? and would i have to ring insurance to get a qoute or could i do it online? allso what are they like for tuning would it be worth the cash or should i wait and get a redtop?

If its for nothing you have nothing to lose by taking it do you. Very tunable and you can see 150bhp quite easily. 2.0 has more power as standard as you're probably aware so you need to decide what you want from the car and both engines will produce two very differant cars. You won't get a quote online for an engine conversion, you could get a quote for a gsi to get a rough idea though.
