Guy just come back off holiday and said they have this rum which is 151% proof! Apparently 100% proof isn't the highest. He said they weren't allowed to bring any back as it said in the flight plan that its highly explosive! He also said the local ran motorbikes on it

Its absolute dynamite, had a few cocktails with it in and then tried a couple of shots of it. Gave me such a headache in the morning too

Most lethal I've had was some 70% home made cherry rum that my brother brought back from Romania that his work mates mum and dad had made.

Tasted like water. Didn't taste of cherries at all!

yea i had some too out there, when the bar man serve it to you they say 1..2...floor cos they reckon after your second shot youll be out of it.

but i think its 171 not 151...illl look it up on google

Absinth with strong alcohol content is shite in any case it is the artermisia absinthium content you should be looking at

we had it last year we went, it was some lethal shit, the barman was off his shift and challenged us to a shot contest using 151, it didnt end too well lol,

i didnt know it was illegal to bring back though, i have brought it home twice, last year and 3 years back.

was goina say, 151% is only 75.5% vol, people only use proof if theyre trying to make a spirit sound stronger try everclear, thats 95% VOL!

yeah its 75%, and you can bring it back, cos ive got one in my cupboard! I brought 2 back, already got through one. its awful, just good drink to have at parties! and it only cost about a fiver a bottle!

I got a picture of it in Amstredam somehwere on my phone...

Proof is the American version. It's calculated differently to the way we calculate it in Europe. You can only have up to 100% by volume, which would be pure alcohol, but you can have up to 200% by proof which would be pure alcohol again...

had 85% absenthe, shop 1 min from work sells it....stuff i supplied to AK, Des etc couple years ago.
