Author Knocking sound with 5 in car

Had this problem alittle earlier when i went out. It was the first time ive had 5 people in my corsa and while driving there was knocking/rattling sound coming from the back of the car. Wasnt very loud but you could hear it. Didnt happen very often but mainly under acceleration or cornering you could hear it knock/rattle once or twice. The car drove fine and it didnbt feel weird or anything, was just making said noise and was as slow as hell . Doesnt make it with less people in the car.

All the tyres are fine although the pressures were set to the 'up to 3 people' 27/24 rating, although would that cause this noise? Tracking was done only a few months ago too. Im not too worried about it, just curious as to what it could be, or if thats just normal for having a full corsa?

it only does it when the car is fully loaded though yeah?

is it lowered at all?

Nope, its a completely standard 94 5 door LS 1.4 8v. And yeah, this was the first time its ever done it, it did kinda sound like an exhaust rattle really.

It didnt do it when i had the whole rear/front of the car loaded with crap when i moved though, only when i had 3 people in the back tonight.

yeah, i'd still say its exhaust.

just have a look round tomorrow, one of the rubbers might have slipped off the backbox or something

I get this with my corsa - it has a custom back box but not lowered, its just the exhaust catching the back beam

what i did too stop mine was got an old bike tire, cut a lenth of it about 8inches long and cable tided it too the beam, but make sure the handbrake cable dusnt get strapped too the beam wen u cable tie the tire on.

deffo the exhaust mate!!! Look at turning the clip round on the part where the back box is connected to the middle pipe.

this is because the wieght would of been more evenly spread

rear silencer bracket is upside down n knockin on axle. turn it the other way up sorted.
