is it a pure driving simulation like Grand Turismo or more arcady, the graphics i can see from those screen shots look very arcady to me

i would say it's an arcade game mate. Nothing like Gran Turismo at all to be honest.
Only thing I'm disappointed about is the fact that your car doesnt get damaged when you crash. Would of been a good addition and probably make me drive more carefully lol

The handling is hard to describe, its realistic in that you can't just throw a car into a bend and expect it not to understeer and floor a F340 coming out of a bend in 2nd and it'll oversteer and smoke its tires. Its still no Gran Turismo but then I thought GT4 was utter crap, I had a 900BHP skyline and i couldn't make it donut it would just understeer?
What makes the game so cool is that detail of the cars, the way each one sounds just like it should do and the fact that its a massive open roaming island where you can do what you want!

how impressive is that i have seen alot of car vids on the net(a fair few american muscle cars being 'opened up' on public roads) and the way the car accelerates through the gears and passing traffic etc is by far the most realistic i have ever seen in a game. plus the engine note is spot on which is something all the GT series and forza motorsport failed at badly.

Wasn't being a nobber was just saying that its a clip from the game, guess if you've never played the demo then you might think its a high res video. Guess if you thought it was one of those videos that the graphics really are that impressive

indeed not only have i not played the game, the demo etc but ive never played an Xbox 360 neither

You will have to drive round the island one day mate 1) to find all the delarships and 2) in the "around the island" race which i done yesterday took me ages 118 miles and i came first only just though.

only done a few missions on TDU so far. Liking it
Did one mission where i had to deliver an Enzo for someone. Only 8 miles or so but fcuk me did I take my time after the 3rd attempt i got a perfect and ended up with £120,000
Also helped a few nice models with their bags one of them turned their nose up at my car  silly cow.
Considering purchasing the Ford GT40 in yellow with black stripes, Kill Bill styleee 
One question, other racers that you see on the roads, can you challenge them at all like in Need for Speed?

yes you do Liam. It's a great game.
I'm not so sure why they included houses for you to purchase though, seems a bit pointless. Yeah it's a place to store your cars but apart from that they offer no real purposes. Unlike in GTA where you could rest and recover etc...
