its either becoming worse or i am noticing it more but my brakes have a judder to them. Its more noticable at slow speeds where it feels like you are tapping your foot on the brake pedal. Or if braking from high speeds it just feels like a slight vibration.
Im putting it down to a problem with the disks themselves like they are mishaped or something

If it is this are they a simple to replace and are the standard items cheap to buy?

Yes your discs are warped, gone slightly out of shape. Its a pretty easy job to do, but i'm guessing you have solid discs so it may be worthwhile to fit a 2.0 setup while your there.

That shows you how to change to the 2.0 setup but you can gather from that how to just do discs and pads if you wanted to.

Vauxhall wont be as dear as you think, might be worth asking. Other than that just try your local motor factors.

might try a local scrappy too

took a wheel off today to have a look and the polished bit where the pads hit is indented further then the lip. is this normal or is it because they have worn?

Have you had the pads changed at any point and kept the discs on? The cost of brake pads and discs are not extortionate. You don't want to be going to a scrappy to get them.

Make sure your rear drums are'nt warped too then YT, drive along at about 30 and gently pull your handbrake up you should feel the car vibrate if they are warped. Other than that you have warped the front discs again or they surfaces were'nt smooth when you fitted the new discs.
