Well my Mk2 golf has sat on the drive for around 15 months now and has not moved once. Today I had some spare time at work and as the golf is nearly sold (lad that works for me is buying it as a first car) I thought I best get around to sorting it out.
first job was a new battery, got that sorted, got it fitted and guess what? It started first time!!
As you can see the car is red, as it hadn't moved for at least 15 months, plus the last time I cleaned it was Billing 2004 (when I got it ) It was obviously very pink/white (especially the bonnet and roof).
These are the results of 5 applications of turtle wax magic colour and autoglym paint restorer (its what was in the cupboards . The the usual bumper and trim care, windows, wheels etc etc.

jobs to do before he has it are:
MOT
TAX
Blow front tyres up
Service
Wheel Bearing
Brakes
Install to the boot
New head unit
Sort out new wheels (he is not having the D90's I want to keep them)
Remove the coil overs (insurance issues putting Gti VW springs and shocks on)
That's about it
What do you reckon? I wish I took a before but I never thought it would come up this well to be honest!!

good on you for keeping the D90's. They're too good for that car, you dont fancy selling the adaptors any time soon?

jake I may well do to be honest, I want to keep them for a future vauxhall project or another VW project not sure as yet. I need to take them off soon, once I do I will give you a U2U could be a month or so....
If it wasnt a 5 door then it would look sweet, but the car has been within my circle of friends since new and has only done 71K so has been a good runaround for me
