I was doing 88 in a 70 in my works van and got caught on speed camera! Will i get 3 points and a fine or 6 points = BAN for driving under 2 years???

if you need to drive for work then sometimes they will increase the points/fine instead of baning i think

Hard to say i was doin around that speed on the m6 and i went through a camera and that was a year ago

Probably just 3 points, but if it goes to court they'll give you 6 for being naughty.

P.s but ur 18% of the tolerance so ul be lucky if u get away with it but i knw 100mph is a ban

depends on county your in.

Some places would just give you 3pts and a fine, others will try do you for more seems you were so far over the limit.

Where was there a camera on a 70mph road though? They are meant to be in accident black spots which are normally never 70mph.

It parked in the Layby with 2 Cameras out back + 1 mile up the road another was on a bridge facing the southbound traffic.

u will be sweet liam mate, get the boss 2 write u a letter saying u need to drive for work and they will give u 3 points n probs no fine as u were working.

if they dont say who was driving then the company can be fined a couple of grand so dont let them do that. And doubt someone else will take your points!

If you were doing 80mph on a 70mph road, a motorway that is, a traffic cop wouldn't have bothered you at all i dont think. Even just over 80 you'd probably be ok.

I've seen a few traffic cop programs and they wouldn't chase this car that was doing 84mph, wasn't worth bothering with! Typical!

not true all depends on circumstances, my mate got £195 fine and 20 day driving ban doing over a 100mph for half a mile
