Around £300 , got a 1.6 sport atm what would yalll suggest getting.

Hmm £300 . . . id jus spend it on an inletfor ur 1.6, jus cos a 2L at that price may need some work they normally go for £300-350
|

i paid 220 for my XE and have had no trouble with it at all.

not if you have a 1.6 sport, you'd need drivers side engine mount, and cav 1.6 inner CVs

plus, you could probably sell the 1.6 engine for a similar price as what you pick up the 2.0 for, so if you did the work yourself it'd cost around £150 on various little bits?

my XE conversion.
£220 for XE with all ancillarys (sold C16XE for £200)
£20 for F20
used original shafts hubs ect.
paid £17 each for inner CV's
paid about 120 for engine mounts.
used original exhaust for a bit until i took delivery of new ashley group A system.
used standard brakes aswell. (now got EBC disks though)
so you could quite easily do it for about £300 maybe a bit more.

Just look out for a cheap calibra go to the scrap yard you might find a XE if your lucky in there aswell 
Ed theres nothing wrong with standard brakes they work find and do the job
