won something on ebay last night.

End price was £39.
Asked the woman if i could pick it up. She wanted £8 postage, with it being a bank holiday she wouldnt be posting it until tuesday so wouldnt arrive until weds or thursday. so just easier for all if i collect.

She has now said its £45 cash on collection because she has already boxed it

im lost.

She cant have paided for postage yet!

well, I don't think she can charge, because for cash on collection, you pay for the winning bid.

Tell her you will ask ebay for advice on her P&P overcharging...

her reply:

You can collect it from my boyfriends house in clifton tonight, he will have to collect it from my house first. It is £45 if you pick it up, if that is what you would like to do because i have already boxed and addressed it ready to be sent through the mail therefore incurring a cost to me(handling). Otherwise it is £47.99 inc postage and packing through paypal and i will send it via royal mail.

well you pay for postage and packageing (sp) so presumebly she is saying she has paid for the box and packagine materials that is why she is charging for collection.

however, from an ebay stand point, if she had in the auction "cash on collection", then she can not charge anything more if you collect it from her.

tell her to stop being a money grabbing bint, what was the item out of intrest lol.

yeah but then she is only going to do the same thing to you, kind of sucks, although you can ask for a single feedback tranaction i think so they cant leave you bad feedback, i forget how though.

thats the problem, people get scared about leaving feedback as they don't want it back. Just make sure you are better with the wording when replying to the negative feedback, make her look like a dick.
