Hey Guys n Gals,

In the hope of raising plenty of dosh for Devon Air Ambulance, we are staging a marathon rolling road event on Saturday 14th October this year at www.apmotors.co.uk.

Total Vauxhall magazine have confirmed they will be in attendance as well as possible coverage by local newspapers and Radio stations.

AP motors have agreed to give us a great price so each car run will cost £25, £5 of which will be going to Devon’s Air Ambulance.

As this is a charity event we do require a deposit of £5 paid directly to AP Motors, just to ensure a good turnout.

Deposit can be paid by Card, Cheque, postal order or Cash if you are in the area.
Please be sure to give your contact details so that a reciept can be made out to you, also you will be given a number when you've paid which will indicate your place in the Dyno Queue on the day.

The event will be starting at around 8.00am

We have invited the following Forums/Clubs:-

VVOC
Cavalier crazy
Vectra Sport
Club Calibra
VxSCC
MK2 Cav
Astra Sport
Corsa Sport
Autobahnstormers
VXON
VXR Online
Club Vec
Mig
PVG
Vectra C
Tigra Club

The generous Guys on one forum have a few members that cant make the event but have offered to make a donation anyway.

If anyone else cant make it on the day but would still like to support the cause, you could make cheques or postal orders out to 'VxSCC Southwest Region' and send them to Mr W. Barker, 51 Gillards Close, Rockwell Green, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9DX.

Many thanks

Smudge

P.S.......would be great if one of the chiefs could make this sticky

TBH, down AP you'll be lucky if you get 30 cars on the rollers, as they take quite a while each car.

No, its because they take ages. They didn't do any analasys of the results. Just took a while getting the cars on the rollers, then doing the runs and so on. When I was down there, I was down there for nearly four hours, and less than 20 cars were done.

Big thanks to all that supported the event.
Well done Lynne for selling all those raffle tickets.
Total Money raised for Devon's Air Ambulance came to £405.00 which we reckon aint too shabby for a one day event.

Unfortunately some Guys had lower than expected results due to running probs like Wayne and His Courteny cams causing the nasty rattle of the new set of lifters. Bernie's had a misfire and David's Courtenay Turbo was not running the Power they claimed (hope you get that sorted M8).
Wasn't overly happy with my cars performance as I'd borrowed a nice big Cone filter from Keir hoping to gain a horse or two over my previous result of 199 bhp (with very worn plugs and a dodgy MAF sensor). Those nice chaps at AP agreed to run the car again just to see the difference between Cone and Panel filter setups on a Vaux V6 (old and very contraversial talking point amongst V6 owners).
Imagine my joy as the car running with the standard box with 3 pipe mod, extra cold feed and a pipercross panel filter hit 220.9 bhp with 221 lbs/ft of torque.........I'm still grinning now.

Here are the results.....

1. Wayne Barker, Vectra GLS 2.5, 192.9 bhp....190 lbs/ft
2. Bernie Pearson, Vectra SRi 2.6, 177.6 bhp....194 lbs/ft
3. Andrew Thompson, Vectra ST200, 199.9 bhp....207 lbs/ft
4. Jason White, Omega 2.5, 177.9 bhp....160 lbs/ft
5. Barry Worth, Zaffi GSi, 213.4 bhp....220 lbs/ft
6. Richard Reeman, Astra SXi 1.8, 114.6 bhp....136 lbs/ft
7. Mike Grey, Cav GLS 2.5, 188.8 bhp....171 lbs/ft
8. Rod Phillips, Vectra SRi 2.0, Gearbox problem.
9. Mark Phillips, Vectra SRi 2.5, 195 bhp....205 lbs/ft
10. Keir Manning, Cav GSi, 155.1 bhp....153 lbs/ft
