My dad has a Rover 45 with the 2.0 TD engine. They are decent engines, lots of torque and do good mpg, but they are very very very very loud. Think transit van loud, even inside the car.

ah but the zt 135 diesel has the bmw engine in and can be chipped up to a fair bit more power than standard

the vag diesels are good cars my old man has the 150gtdi chipped up over 200bhp and 300ppft is a good car to drive just boring to look at and be inside same with the passats etc

Actually driven a couple of gay wheel drive V6 auto variants now Jimbo, and they were very pleasant cars to drive.

Don't know what the diesel is like though.

id give you that on maybe a mg zr as its a similar kinda market maybe draw even with one of the kv6 engined ones but theres two mgs il have to argue with you and they are the 4.6 mustang engine and the 2.0 cdti bmw ones and with engine pedigree like that im sure you will know why

the octavia i like just the fabia is just to small a car tbh

You wouldn't if they were REAL Skodas Kyle, they were pretty bloody awful unfortunately.

Did at least manage to win their class in the WRC every year without fail though.

Skoda don't realy exist anymore though, which is a shame in my opinion. They're just a badge used to sell cut price volkswagens.

Although why a volkswagen should be an expensive thing in the first place is beyond me.

I wonder if Ford or Vauxhall wil buy the Lada name and start selling re-badged Astras or Mundanos half price?
