if you dont have the cream form how do i go about taking the plate off
with the piossibility of selling it?

Goto DVLA and fill in a form to put it on retention.

DVLA will then assign you a new standard plate and give you a cream coloured form to allow you to get new standard plates made up.

DVLA then send the retention certificate to you which you exchange for cash/cheque/PO with the buyer of the plate...

Done deal..
