I'm off to a RWYB event at York Raceway this weekend with my mate in his Golf VR. Setting off on the Sunday afternoon to get there for Sunday evening and camping then ready for the RWYB 1/4 mile on the Bank Holiday Monday.
Think there is a show on at the same time. GTi show or something.
Anyone else going? Is York Raceway any good?

I can't say as I've only seen top fuelers at Santa Pod.
Most serious drag racing is done at Elvington.

Cruise West Cumbria will be holding its 1st ever 1/4 mile drag racing day at York Raceway on Monday the 28th of August, Bank Holiday Monday!
*Prices for the event are as shown above and trophies will be awarded for the best time in our club and also best time in different classes, the different classes will be confirmed as soon as possible.
*Full printouts for each run will be issued as well.
*Open to all, it doesn't matter what car you have, whether it is a turbo or a 1.1
*Convoy details will be confirmed nearer the date.
*No special requirements for the drag strip so you don't need any safety gear i.e. helmets.
Anyone wishing to compete in Run What You Brung days must have!
a. CRASH HELMET , these can be supplied by York Raceway so no need to panic if you dont have one!
b. YOUR FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE
Without these, sorry no 1/4 mile action for you!
