My boss has just bought a brand new Boxster, he's under 30..

Hes been ringing round for ages, and got the same response as you. Too Young.

It seems you need to be over 30 to insure a Porkie, irrelivent of its age.

I can ask him which ones he got quotes with if you want. His cheapest quote, £4k...

I said he's an idiot.... For a 2.7 Boxster..... More money than sense (same with most here really).

Is a Boxster deemed a "classic" car then?
I think that's more the problem here rather than the fact it has a Porsche badge on it.

No, but i did put....

"It seems you need to be over 30 to insure a Porkie, irrelivent of its age"

Being a classic won't mean its mroe to insure as it won't be ont eh road as much as a modern car, and most classic owners take care of their cars and drive them a lot slower.

They are also much harder to get parts for in the event of a crash/vandalism etc etc which is why insurance companys are so funny about them, still doesn't relate to age though.

Summary: Insurance companys are gay

They were TOO cheap? Always a dodgy sign as i've just found with my bike insurance, they don't cover clothing, but failed to mention its only £15 extra for it (bearing in my my bash hats £350, leathers, gloves, boots etc)...

But if the policey details are ok, go for the cheap one?
