Came down this morning and found one of my fish in the middle of the living room.
It's jumped and knocked the lid off my tank. Not sure how, because it's pretty heavy. Then flopped about for a bit and died.
I'm gutted, that bugger was nearly 2 years old and getting to around 4 inches. May buy another today because my other is stressing on it's own.

3 of my koi jumped out the pond too, but only on the day they were put in. One was the huge 18" one too, found him on the floor cos my dog was sniffing and barking at it in the garden!

The tank is about a foot deep. I've had them hit the lid, but never come out.
I buried him this morning in the wheelie bin.

The lid has the bulbs and light fittings attached so it's pretty heavy. Might invest in a phone book to leave on the lid overnight.
