i've been working since 7:30 this morning, pretty much non stop bar a 1hour trip to halfords for oil/coolant/tie wraps

i dont actually know the differences, the main one i could see was the inlet manifold, but i've binned that. internally i dont know the differences, apart from its newer. doesnt seem to be any EGR/SAI crap either

if its an XEL, it will have smaller ports... but it'll still make decent power

Was is out an astra ?

Cos rob's rite, there was a x16XEL Which was in a astra - the manifold ports are a tiny bit smaller on the block if so ..

I know this cos i swapped my engine in my old car .. and i bought an x16XEL engine and jus swapped the manifolds

its a euro 4 engine, the X prefixes had different covers.

Z is euro 4 compliant.

it might even be a Z16XEP Rob, but i have no idea what that means

no that is actually the ECU, as the diagram clearly shows, the coil pack sits along the top of the spark plugs.

bloody vauxhall, why couldnt they keep the designs the same, was a nightmare getting my coilpack to fit
