Who else is excited and looking forward to the new line up and seeing what McClaren is going to bring to the team? I think the new team line up is a positive step and from past and present evidence McClaren has his hea dscrewed on!

Would of been Ashton and Defoe up front if he didn't cripple himself, would of loved to see it, glad to see Defoe getting a start though, he should of gone to the WC

Promising start and it looks like Crouch and Hargreaves are continuing to get better. Crouch weaving in and out of players down the middle What a guy! Richardson was looking good too.

Really enjoyed first half easy opponents but was nice football. Gerrard, lennon, hargreaves and defoe impressed me most.

i agree, defoe didnt do himself any favours last night, I though Rio Ferdinand looked pretty good at the back and he wasn't afraid to go forward.

I had some pretty decent seats aswell, i was in the corner where JT celebrated his goal
