Not sure if anyone is really that interested but I posted this in the West mids area but as hardly anyone ever goes in there I thought I would post it up and see what everyone thinks, I know it is nothing compared to some of serious projects that are going on at the moment but i am happy with it, and tbh just looking forward to having it back
Whilst its been off the road for what seems like 2 years i have had the engine almost completly rebuilt, inc Complete head recon, all valves out and reground in, seats recut etc, new lifters, new piston rings, new oil pump and gaskets, crank fully reground with new bearing etc, all pistons and conrods out, checked and the pistons polished. Every single gasket has been replaced, New crank sensor and finally the engine bay and engine has been cleaned and sprayed up and it looks well smart now!
When i originally put the engine in i had new Cam belt kit, Arp rod bolts, cts and a few other small bits replaced so these have been left!

I have reiger sides and rear bumper, and when its fininshed i will be travelling to geta merseyspeed front bumper, then i do plan to have a full respray etc, not 100% sure exactly what i will have done but one step at a time?
not sure if i should have a completely smoothed boot or just semi smoothed etc??

i know yes!! the bumper is in preston, so i will be making that trip to run it in!!!
also picking up my brothers suspension form milton keynes so that will also help with the miles!

They are pics for PV 2005, when i had the Xe in, you will be glad to know that i have a rear disk set up on there now, with wilwood fronts

Its FWD the fronts do most of the braking, rear discs are not needed. I never had dics on mine

Jambo, TBH the breaking is decent, but one - only when you get the pedal down (lots of travel) and two when you go to hard the drivers side rear wheel locks up!!!
i actually need some advice on that one so if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated

Ryans Corsa is going abit slow at the minute I think, he needs to pull his finger out as its a really nice car and it just sits in pieces in his back garden! Think is trying to get it sorted soon tho?

 just clever i suppose, nah i sold him the smooth dash he has in his car a while ago and went down to coventry a few months ago to pick up a de cat and back box he was selling and told me about your corsa turbo and that he broken the gear linkage at pvs if i remember him saying so maybe wrong.

GOT MY CAR BACK AT THE WEEKEND!!!!
It seems loads better, well as you would expect, much smoother and more responsive, not that i have in anyway pushed it but it used to have a bad flat spot that that has gone!!!!
anyway i am happy now, just having to take it easy at the minute and run her in!
However it really dont help when people that have no clue about cars think there vectra 1.6 16v will thrash your corsa 2litre turbo!!! Just cuz he thinks he can change gear fast, and believes he is used to driving fast cars such as 1.6 16v vectra's??????? hhhhuuuuummmmmm
I normally would be chanllenging people like this and putting him straight especially as i dont like the lad at all as he is miles up his own a55 (much the same as his brother), but I prefer the thought of him telling evryone how much of an emmense driver he is and them laughing at him and his rally driving abilities also... meetin him on the a45 on the off chance and seeing what actually happens!!
I can just imagine him being totally shocked and not being able to understand why he lost?
