Sent someone a cheque for a wheel and he hasnt replied to me for weeks, he's been online and hes ignoring texts/calls, He has a cheque but he hasnt cashed it. Im with HSBC and they want 10 quid to cancel it? it says on the website that its only free if your cheque book is lost or stolen. I don't know whether to fork out the tenner or not and hope he doesnt cash it

Wait to see if he cashes it, when he's cashed it and sent you the wheel, wait for about 3 weeks, then cancel it - bet you didnt know you could cancel a cheque up to 6 weeks after its been cashed and the money will be taken out of their account and back to yours and you will have gained a wheel out of it.

Crazy fact but 100% true.

Maybe he doesn't intend to cash your cheque, as he only wanted your bank account details and signature so he can steal your money from the bank!
