That's plain wrong in that case.

Any sport that condones and legalises kneeing someone in the chin or kicking them in the head when you've already knocked them silly, isn't a fair or proper sport. It's just brawling and scummy street fighting in my opinion.

Punching is fine, but kicking seems so wrong on more than one level.

I'd like to know what the governing body would consider an ilegal shot.

To me, all that kicking looks a bit bitchy and un-manlike.

Thai boxing is a hard sport, the fighters know the rules and risks in the ring. Pro Muay Thai allows elbows, knees and leg kicks aswell as punches.

I can assure you that a thai kick to any part of the body is far from un-manlike. An illegal shot would be a deliberate groin or throat hit, and thats about it really!

Nasty.

Kicking on the floor is so immoral though.

Also, i'm not running the sport down or anyone who likes it but the kicking just looks so gay and bitchy to me.

Punches seem more refined and controlled and gentlemanly.

Kicking just appears underhanded and wrong.

Ramon Dekkers - never ever seen this guy but f**k me can he dispose of people in the ring, i like to watch as much martial arts as a can see on normal tv, Thai is by far the meanest and you have to have a lot of skill but as already said they know the risks and whats shots are allowed
