hey...
ok so the plan of action is no mods to the car for the next few months (possibly 12 if i can resist) whilst i figure out what i want to do and save up some money.
i've narrowed it down to 3 choices with regards to what i'm going to do, but want honest opinions and constructive input (if possible)
all my choices work out at roughly the same cost, with the 206 option already including the cost of my car and what i've done so far.
the car won't be a daily driver, probably used once a week at most and comfort/luxury aren't a high priority.
1. dimma 206 wrc replica - performance wise it would be throttles bodies, manifold, cams and a remap producing 190-200bhp which i'd be more than happy with. also a trip to dimma hq to fit a wrc replica kit.
2. s1 lotus elise - always had a thing for them and prefer the s1 unless is the s2 markebly better?
3. mk2 clio v6 - ok so it's not the best handling or performance car but i was taken out in one and it made me smile from ear to ear.
pics for those who need them... pics are used just to give you an idea
1.

2.

elise without a doubt, clio is too unforgiving, 206 isnt even a consideration imo unless you got rwd with it

i've sat in an elise once and it was tight but alright, need to find someone so i can have a go really.
clio v6 was fun but i've heard they're a bit hairy at times on the handling.
the 206 would be staying fwd so it might well be on it's way to someone else then.
thanks so far for the input

2 no questions!
Elise any day.
number 1 is all show and no go, plus you'd look like a knob doing the weekly shop. (I mean non turbo'd - yes it'd be fairly quick, but you'd be chucking loads of money at it and won't get much back)
number 3, isn't all that and a elise will rape it round the twisties.

2 still looks gay. But who cares how gay you look on a track day, where the car would be respected for what it is.
I was watching a vid of a elise going round donnington, it had some mods like TB's etc - was running about 163 bhp - but it was handling so nice and rwd. made me want to get one.

That pug looks so unconvicing on those wheels. Needs multispoke motorsport alloys of some description, classic case of the wheels ruining a car.
2 is the best option nevertheless, provided you bear in mind the head gasket problems that people seem to bring up time and time again...

S1 use a K series rover lump which is a bit poop...
plus they have a habit of getting wet inside when it rains!
S2 is certainly the better car

Clio V6. They have so much road presence. I can imagine them being a laugh to drive to
