Now assuming you have a big space.....a really good compressor.....a decent gun..
Is it hard to respray a car? Now i'm talking just flashing over panels here not a bere metal jobbie!
What has to be done to the panels in order for the paint to take? sand down then spray then laquer??? I just can't afford to get it profesionally done at the moment so thought i could do it myself It can't tbe that hard if some of the grotty sprayshops i've seen can do a half decent job??!

mate if ur asking these question id say no ur not capable of doing it. it takes professional painters 2/3 years to finish their apprenticeship and a hell of alot of years to get good at it... by the time u buy materials and paint/lacquer etc ull be down 3-400. id just save and get it done pro...

depends if there is any damage on the car but saying there isnt and mayb u just want it all fresh then just DA and 400 the whole car, mask up and base and laquer!
well its not as easy as that as if u dnt wana do the door shuts u need to lip tape them and stuff but thats it basically and also spraying isnt as easy as you may think, especially if its a mettalic paint, you need to drop coat it so the mettalic stands up!
and there is also a hell of alot more to do to it but its not impossible but its not straight forward!

I sprayed mine myself, but i work at a bodyshop. only cost me £60
I did another one while at college and that cost me about £100 to spray.
Remeber the prepwork before hand has to be spot on or it will show twice as bad threw the paint.

Stevie seems to have swayed me a bit here! Don't get me wrong i never thought it would be easy lads.
Mines mettalic too so a drop coat is needed?? Why do i still need it if i'm just flashing over the origional paint?? I have all the equipment aprt from the paint and laquer too so cost's wouldn't be too much??
Might give it a miss

My step dad sprayed his old yellow capri white with halfords rattle cans because he kept getting pulled over. It can be done.

It was orange peeled to fuck and you could scrape away the paint with a finger nail. He didnt primer or anything, just straight over the yellow.
