I strongly agree with this view on the war between the two countries.

I stopped here:
quote:
When the United States was attacked at Pearl Harbor, it did not respond with a parallel "proportionate" attack on a Japanese naval base. It launched a four-year campaign that killed millions of Japanese, reduced Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki to cinders, and turned the Japanese home islands into rubble and ruin.
no reason to continue.....The US was humiliated by the Pearl Harbour attack and the context was different...it was World War...how can the author compare this to the present matter in the Middle East
Japan attacked a military base, not civilians...Americans killed civilians...ans some are still dying from the effects of it
yes, it seems for the US that Israel can legitimately attack a convoy of 1500 civilians who are on their way to bury the other innocent dead civilians.....proportionate...
...same applies when the US attacked Iraq for 'the inexistant biological weapons' it showed to the world in its report at the UN....
Where were the weapons....(their justification finally turned to be that they freed Iraq
One simple question:
what is the root cause of all these problems?

Did you not actually read it? He condems the Americans bombing Japan.
I seriously suggest you go back and read it all again before commenting

Adam, maybe I clicked on the wrong link...but when he continues thus:
quote:
Disproportionate? No. When one (US in the present context )is wantonly attacked by an aggressor ( japan in context, one has every right -- legal and moral -- to carry the fight until the aggressor is disarmed and so disabled that it cannot threaten one's security again. That's what it took with Japan.
I did understand that for him, the US did the right thing....how does he 'condemn' the attack?
