Might do yeah... thought it was a 1.6 but oh well but will it fly.... i was gonna do a complete 2.0 Calibera 16v conversation but that means changing engine mounts etc but its supposed to be rapid as a 2.0 and beat Carerra etc

Mate I hope you don't mean a Porsche Someone's been telling you porkies (see what I did there?) XE'd corsa's are quick, for a hatchback, but no Porsche beater (except the minority like muppetsport).

are you talking about the ASTRA, or the CORSA?

the ASTRA engine is a BIGBLOCK, so it needs new mounts and shafts

the CORSA engine is SMALLBLOCK, and it goes straight in. either way, unless you have a 1.4 16v in your Corsa, the loom will be different, as will one of the mounts.

The 1.8 won't be as quick as a 2.0. And, carreras go and laugh at whoever told you that.

Most popular engines are 2.0 16v/2.0 16v turbo cavalier/calibra engines to put into corsas.

to be fair he didnt say how old the carrera was, i raced a 1991 carrera and was neck and neck. The owner even ask'd what the hell i had done to my car (its pritty standard) so a corsa with a decent engine converstion should be the same, newer porkers on the other hand.......
and yea according to car forums ctrs are the fastest cars in the world.
