Right, ive been a member of a gym for fuckin ages now and ive only been twice so im gunna get my act together and go.

I dont know much about gyms so I was hoping someone could recommend which machines to use to accomplish what I want.

Basically I just wanna lose a lot of weight as quickly as possible. Mainly my beer belly , which is more a Macdonalds belly TBH

Can someone suggest a routine that I could do every day? Obviously weights are gunna be pointless so if someone could just say e.g. 20 mins on exercise bike, 20 mins on cross trainer etc....

Also any other tips would be good.

Thanks,

James

I pay £36 a month and go between 3 and 4 times a week, so save about £15/20 a week

Thats my motivation for going, if i slip under twice a week im actually loosing money!!!!

my recomendation is to go and buy yourself a bike... you wont get bored of it as quickly as you would going to the gym and staring at a wall...

cycle to work...

i lost 5 stone doing this before(in conjunction with a serious diet)

Weights arent pointless in losing your belly. Weight training will still burn calories like any form of exercise. In addition you will put on some muscle which means you wont look like a twig when you lose a load of weight.

Firstly and most importantly. Sort out your diet, find a metabolic rate calculator on google and work out your rough maintenance calories. Then subtract 500 calories from that- if you have a calorie defecit, you will lose weight, and its the easiest way to do it. Cut out all the crap you may eat and drink; eat complex carbs, lean protein sources and healthy fats in moderation.

As for Cardio, try the usual. Running, Cross trainer, Rowing machine, Punchbag. Try for around 20-40 Minutes 3-5 times a week, but make sure you dont overdo it and burn any muscle mass you may have (keep the protein content high to combat this).

Lots of cardio. But keep your diet above maintenance so you wont be in a calorie defecit and lose weight. E.g if you have a maintenance calorie level of lets say- 2000 and you do exercise that will burn 500 calories. Then eat to a level of 2500 cals (-500 = 2000) and you wont lose the weight.

Its all about diet
