Reyes cost £10.5 million, further £7million dependant on appearances.
Sevilla 1999-2004 - 86 appearances 22 goals 25assists.

I think so when you take into account he's not a 6yard box man like Ronaldo or RVN.

If Carrick plays well man u have another Beckham on their hands which equals £££

They've been missing a focal point for their asian fans etc and he could well become the new pin up boy, after reading his autobiography Alex Ferguson is certainly nobodies fool, he knows what he's doing.

He made more appearances for Arsenal but alot of them are as subs, plus at Sevilla he was still young and just breaking into the team.

He's good, very good on his day, but all the top teams have 3 or 4 good fwd's and he can't play regular.

Alan Shearer has never played for Arsenal has he?

P.S. I really do think Shearer has the title of best striker in the Premiership upto yet, give Henry a few more seasons then he can have it.

I agree with Jiz on that, Shearer has been in the Premiership since day 1, and has been consistently fantastic every season since. But Henry will steal his crown one day.

No I'm a man of my word, Shearer king, Henry prince, Henry could support Shearer in that dream team though, no question about it.

End result, Reyes is a bit of a donkey

I do like him but Wenger/Reyes need to decide if he is a striker for us (unlikely seeing the purchases of van Persie, Adebayor and Walcott since his arrival) or whether, IMO, he is the Pires replacement? I see Rosicky being the Ljunbger replacmeent and Hleb was the Vieira 'replacement' as it were but Cesc became superb!

I think comparing Shearer and Henry is like comparing apples and oranges to be honest. Totally different type of forward.

Shearer is a goal-scoring machine. Nothing fancy, just a fantastic striker of the ball and had awesome heading ability.

Henry likes to come from deeper on the pitch and sets up a lot more. Using his skill to make that half a yard for a pass or shot. The majority of his goals are down to his individual skill and pace.

Never saw Alan Shearer flicking the ball up and lobbing the keeper with his back to goal from 20 yards

I would have both up front though in my dream team

Shearer and Henry both in their Prime, now that would have been some partnership!
