.... Got 1k for it, bit less than i wanted, but for what it is, not a bad score TBH.

What do i get now, no more than a 1.6 (insurance restrictions ) 2.5k budget

id consider dare i say a saxo vts, or a 106 gti (group 13/14) if you could afford to spend more. Or a 1.6 sport 9group 10) with the lower insurance, or even a vtr (group 7) which is less insurance. Im not endorsing saxos - but they are good value for money imo. John

306 Hdi, then spend 300 quid on a remap, 120 bhp, group 5 insurance, 40-50mpg.
