Warranty's run out.
Basically whenever i turn it on it loses the picture after all of 2 seconds and i cant watch it
Anyone know if its cheaper to buy a new box rather than the call oput charge of £65 for someone to tell me i need a new box anyway lol.

Anyone ahd similar probs?

weird one. call the helpline, see what they say, then hangup when tehy ask if you want a engineer to come out

Called sky they asked me to do a proceedure which didnt work then they said i need an engineer.

Holiday wias wicked jim, aint with the chick anymore, split up about 2months ago

tell them that they are responsible for up to 5 years for the box if its deemed to be a fault of manufacture, warranties dont overule statutory rights and sales of goods

our sky box packed in Matt... we couldnt get it to work no matter how hard I kicked it... and the helpline just wanted to send out an engineer for£70 odd!!

So we just got Sky+ instead

Only thing is it was cheaper to do it as a new customer than to upgrade for whatever reason

Tell sky that you arent paying the engineer fee, and you want to cancel. they'll send an engineer FOC

I work for Sky, phone up saying you want to cancel because of the service and your not willing to pay the callout charge..

They will pass you to cancelations who will give u the service call free..

Stressful trying to get folk to say the words "I want to cancel".. lol

Instead they just sit on the phone for an hour moaning and end up paying for it..

All we wanted was an upgrade, like my brother got... he threatened to cancel, got a free sky plus box, and £10 subscription for 3 months, but we tried to get that yesterday, and had no luck
