with an external oil cooler, the sandwich plate which attaches to the car, where generally would it fit? replace the oil filter?? have no idea

also many have like threaded outlets on them, would a normal piece of hydrolic pipe jubileed on work, or is there substansial pressure that would blow it off?

need oil pipe to be jubilied on, some pipe will degrade with the oil

so they would all be ok just jubiled on? just im after doing it on the cheap and can get hose made up for nothing and didnt want to have to buy a fitting kit for £x with all the proper connectors

i just got some endy bits made up from a local hydraulics place, cost all of £5, im planning on jubilee clips, i dont think its that high pressure.

pressure up to about 100psi max. would use 2 jubilees on each to be safe

@ people saying its not that much pressure!

I regularly see over 6bar (90psi) of oil pressure, which is quite alot when you consider the turbo only pushes about 1.2bar of air pressure, and that has been known to pop the odd hose before now


As for the original question, get yourself an oil filter re-location kit tom, then the sandwhich plate can replace the filter

plus it will make your life a whole load easier in the long run!!

Mine sits just behind my headlight and I can change the oil filter in about 20secs!

will it be 90 psi all round tho? my pressure feed comes from the other side of the pump and the most its ever showed is 60psi
