would this work?

basically taking a used Cat, removing all the stuff inside - diy decat?

no one does anything like this for a Corsa C yet so was wondering if it would work?

cheapest used cat i can find is 100.

ive knocked a few cats thru in my time(mainly on deisels that have blocked). My weapon of choice is a crow bar. But acustically a straight thru pipe is better.

knocking the insides out of a cat will do nothing for performance, probably make it worse and sound crap.

what engine do you have?

no it wont as you would have a big hollow chamber in the exhaust.

Yup, so less pressure. Best to just get a de-cat pipe.

even if you get a proper decat you wont notice any difference anyway, in fact youl probably lose a little low down torque

back pressure, most of the time you lose a little low down torque, but should pull a little better higher up the rev range
