http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5232028.stm
"Sole occupancy households in England and Wales are said to use the most space and power per capita - with males aged 35-45 the worst offenders.
The rising number of one-person homes also produce more rubbish, University College London researchers found."
"The report also suggests the government could encourage people to live more space-efficiently with the introduction of an occupancy tax."

I'll remind them who pays the bills for running a house alone

Occupancy tax for wanting to get on the ladder without needing to shack up with a girl I'm not married to or move in messy lad mates who dont like the hours I work.

I was going to rant on about the govt and taxes until I actually read it.
Instead its the usual students with too much time and money.
This is like research on the best way to get tomato sauce out of a bottle.
I'm assuming they don't pay much tax or they woudln't be suggesting charging more.

tony blair and friends couldnt organise a piss up at a brewery, somewhere down the line they have spent far too much money on something (probably something nothing to do with our country) and they are trying to get it back by ripping their own people off.
we need a government who looks after its own the current one are too busy trying to keep up with the likes of america at the cost of us.

Two single people apparently produce more than one couple.
I blame ready meals for one - which I don't eat, ever.
