This sunday we had a VXR - 888 owners club meet at Donnington. All of us met up and then drove in colour co-ordinated cars into the circuit.
Had a VXR owners meet at Donnington. About 100+ cars.
I've got some video clips of the BTCC, Form BMW, Form Renault, Porkie GT cup etc on teh first laps which i'll upload tonight.
Oh, and I think it may be time to invest in a "proper" camera instead of the Sony Cibershot thing we currently use lmao
How many Astras????

We had loads fo VXR Monaros, Mk4 Astra 888's Mk5 Derv 888's, Vectra VXR's etc as well.

130+ ish...... Coming into a corner? Get out my way punk lmao

ahhh, this wud explain why the local white 888 diesel followed me back to boston for a while (i was coming bk from kings lynn). It stayed a couple of cars behind me for a bit, but then when it did overtake bloody hell does it shift. such a beautiful car too. I loved seeing it in my rear view mirror, it really does look the best in white.

Wasn't with us, we only had 3 Mk5 888's with us. Two Silvers and a Black.

Took us just over an hour n a half to get from Kent to J23A M1.. Including two sets of SPECS cameras ont eh M25 and M1 (40mph) which go on for miles........
Don was asleep, I was crusing at about 100kph and the Orange GTS came past me at a fair old rate... I cruised up to 130kph odd and he'd was stilll pulling with ease.....
Then i sw it on the stand, he must have been running late to pickup someone/something
Plus you northen lot have got it easy, theres bloody no cameras covering every square inch of the road up there.... Unlike down here, where you can't go on any major road without being watched

we have these things called pikeys, they destroy them with things like expanding foam, car tyres filled with petrol and of course good old spray paint. aparently.

Ahhh see we have pikeys, but usually ther are doing over a bank or something. They leave the speed cameras for the chavs...
I just mean the traffic observation cameras, that can still be used to tell if your speeding if your tonking along and going past all the other cars like they are going backwards
Rob, yeah, Silver is the most un-common colour, but we didn't have any there yesterday, but there are silver owners. They just look to plain, bit like a lower spec model.
Nam, you mean the VXR Developments model. Carbon bits all over it... Good to show your products, but looked tacky as hell covered in carbon bits. If i owned the parts, i'd have to spray them.

Bonnet weighs 3 kilos, standard one is about 11 kilos (Or 7 kilos, can't remember). But it looked cheap, tacky and nasty. The vents didn't line up to the bonnet, some of the vents were starting to point up (Heat??) etc. Bet you they want about £500+ for it also!! I'd expect better quality.

I was gutted after speaking to him about the blue one. Thought it had real carbon wheels, but its just a carbon cover on the outside of the rim, although the wheels are magnesium so not too bad.
