It's a sub pen.
built between 1957 and 1961
It housed an arsenal of 3000 people and had 30 weeks of supplies in stockpile
It's built under a rock mountain that's 126m high
The canal is 505m long and ranges from 6-8.5m deep
That gun out front is 120mm defense weapon
The facility was shut down in 1995 and the museum opened in
2003
The neighboring torpedo factory closed just before the facility did
For 10 rubels you can walk around, an additional 5 you get to take pictures, 30 if you want to video (I have no idea what a rubel's worth, don't ask)
Most of the captions on the photos are pretty self explanantory, the one with the pic of the museum says something to the effect that the display articles are 95% not involved with the Russian navy in any way.
The photos with the lights on underwater where you can see the structures in the depth is the dry dock. It would be emptied after the sub was in there so that they could work on the outside of the hull.

wonder what the radiation levels are like in there. would be a good tour but bet you come out sterilised in the bollock department
