i just bought a tv for my car and am putting my laptop in my car so i can store all my cds and dvds on it. have seen a couple of people now with there dials appearing on there tv and was wondering how its done.

i am getting the lead for my i pod video tomorrow but am not sure if the videos will work on the tv.

will get pics up as am going along

like this:


no computer trickery at all, just the speedos relocated to a box and a camera pointing at them with a lead attached to the screen

but im sure you can get them to be displayed on a screen properly, but it wont be easy or cheap as i looked into it before i decided on the camera!

Never seen the point of a camera pointing at dials myself. If the TV is just going to display the normal dials then why not jut look at the dials themself instead of a TV .

Not to mention most of the TV setups look naff with the whole camera thing.

if it were a bit tidier it would look well good...tidier as in take the carpet effect border of it and replace it with something more modern

The top part of the dash was flocked/trimmed in the same material and it was done to match i believe

because the dials are not there anymore thats why been relocated thats the whole point.

Its Alcantara, not exactly cheep and the trimmed on Fears dash is some of the best i have seen!
