I did some more work today

Now that ll my coursework is out of the way I have time to work on the car again. Not sure if Im happy about it or not

For anyone wanting to remove arch sealer I found something that obliterates it. It's called a pirhana & its like a hardcore wire brush attatchment for an angle grinder. It was taking me ages to get all the crappy little bits off with the scraper but this thing rips through it with ease. Managed to get 2 of the arches completely finished & they are now ready for priming once I've cleaned them down of all the dust etc

Also rubbed one of the panels down, but that was mainly for fun Electric sanders kick ass

Don't know, can't remember

Had the camera out so took a few pics

Started drilling the welds out on these bits, tried grinding them off but drilling seems to work better

Have you drilled the bit on the exhaust tunnel out yet?

It's a ballache

Started, done about one & then broke the drill bit

According to Ben a 10mm spot weld drill is needed. Not sure if it's a special shape or not? I've bought a normal 10mm one, don't know where to get a spot weld drill

You been doing Marcs?

Spot weld drill is like this -

I spent yesterday laying on the floor of broster's car at silly angles drilling them out, and drilling through the floor Nightmare job, especially when you miss the weld slightly and have to drill it twice

Would have been easier with the dash out though, it was right in the way

Not cheap, probably better buying them from a car parts shop maybe, or a tool place?

As for the holes, no idea blob of weld in them and grind it flat probably, but if you're careful, you won't drill many holes, it's only when you rush it you do.

You'll want about 3 drill bits though, they blunt quite easily.

Cheers for that

Going to drill out the rear seat mounts too, none of that messy grinding like some rough badgers do

Similar, not decided yet. I'd like to just have some cams & a bit of head work & a decent mapping session. That'll be enough I reckon, LSD going in too

My mate keeps blagging me to get nitrous too Would be fun but I really don't thik it's worth it

You should wait for tonight's update to broster's thread if you think we were rough with mine
