We beat Boavista 2-1, with goals from new signing Kennedy (great goal too) and a slimline and fit John Macken.

Russ, he was a different class against Swindon at weekend, looked great tonight and scored a great goal. Looks like he could be a great signing. Also got Scowcroft, who also looked good against a fairly decent team too.

He's a hard working strong midfielder, not technically gifted, but he's a leader. He has determination and drive. Good player, sad to see him go but things had to change. Our football was becoming stale last season, some of it was hard to watch.

he did well too last night, but im more concerned at the fact we are very close to signng Dave Nugent for 4M. Lot of money to splash on a striker whilst in championship, even if he is a great player
