amazing motor...
can feel the heat of a throbbing V8 in the cabin - even the gearstick was HOT to touch
2nd gear chicane's were hairy as fcuk!!!!
overtook two elises and an Evo 6 on the straights...
I feel a track day nut has just been born

I went there on Saturday to do the same thing but due to a freak storm and someone being injured by a flying marque, my day was cut short and I'm having to re-arrange for another day
Was due to drive a Porsche 911 but I may change to the TVR after hearing it thrashing round the airfield

Stunning cars. Lights up the rears in 4th in the dry if you want....
2nd gear + chicane = fairy touch on the throttle

3CM - was a red letter type thing... but the fella in the passenger seat became my friend by the end of the session !
dont think he trusted me all that much at first....!
Daimo - I was flat out in 4th gear (about 120/130mph) round one of the long sweeping corners, and the rear wheels didnt hint at letting go (instructor was gritting his teeth though apparently - he told me to keep throttle planted though!)
2nd and 3rd are quite dangerous, but once your doing 100+ there is enough downforce and grip to stop any 4th gear angular driving!! (just as long as your not a plank)
The thing which i found hard to grasp was the locked rear set-up. These cars have no limited slip diff, which makes for some snatchy / scary / brown pants driving!!

I usually expect to see a TVR in a ditch, not a Ditch in a TVR.....
I'll get my coat....

My friend went up to do one on saturday and the whole day was cancelled as the tent blew over and the lorry was damaged!
He had to come all the way home again 250 miles!
Did you hear about that?

Butler - nope, didnt spot her mate... it was quite busy and there were Rarris and Lambos all over the place so too busy drooling over cars!
Stu - its a proper car and all that, but im certain that I could not live with one after owning something 4WD and turbo...
The TVR is obviously a totally different animal and not a car which would appreciate trying to pull out at a junction a bit sharp-ish during rush hour.... or hitting a bump on a country road whilst mid-corner... game over!
It was an amazing experience to drive one but I will be sticking with a nice quick point to point car.... which still plants me back in my seat when I ask it to... and doesnt try and spin me round in circles when I dont ask

Yeah, thats exactly what I thought and thats why Ive never taken the plunge! Dont get me wrong I love them, but the Jap 4WD's flatter mediocre drivers like myself!!!

agreed....
I can get away with all sorts in my GT4 that just wouldnt be possible in most cars.
the one thing which shocked me was the poor brakes of the TVR.... dont get me wrong they worked... but they needed much more of a stamp on the pedal to get the same stopping powers im used to
