right story is been into body building for a while thats fine ect, but i think im going to give a martial arts a go as i fancy learning how to defend my self and am just competitive by nature so want to do something like kickboxing.
so decided to get my cardio up a bit more, ive been runnin on tread mill, skipping ect on alternate days to when im weight trainging.
question, ive just started going for runs along the sea front, mostly on concreate now the problem i have is not really being fatigued but my shins start to hurt quite badly after a while well not to long to be honest; is this due to the lack of conditioning and will it just improve over time or is there some conditioning excersises i should be doing to help me.
over all my legs are really quite strong from squats ect from the gym, but theres just a pain in my shins thats holding me back any ideas?

Jogging is bad on the joints and I also found this, hence why my cardio now is swimming

IT sounds like you got shin splints. Down to consistantly running on hard surfaces. Need to find a different running path which has varied ground conditions.

problem is if you do alot of weights without doing some sort of cardio you get out of breath quickly.when i 1st started training i could run quite far but now i don't do so much cardio and just concertrate on weights and i run out of steam rather quickly when i run for more than 5 miles
