do you insure your mods and how much extra does it cost, should i or shouldn't i?

of course you should. if you dont, your cover is invalid

you can probably get away with not insuring things like a gearknob, stuff like that, but anything major (wheels, suspension, exhaust, brakes, bodywork) you NEED to declare it.

Depends what mods - some place will allow body mods but no engine tuning etc.
Most place will add a bit extra for things like air filter, exhaust, lowering etc but they will insure you.

CIS insured me on my modified Corsa for no extra cost (non performance mods only... although they knew of the exhaust and induction kit )
Direct Line won't insure me until I'm 25 if I modify the Astra.

That question is like asking 'should I wipe my arse after taking a crap' answer is its up to you but it could get very messy if you dont bother!!!

i have not done any major mods yet but was wondering when i do as i am 17 if it will go up loads, i onli goin to lower it and put wheels as i allready have the induction kit exhaust and rear clusters

Ive declared all my mods. I reckon I'd pay about £800 less if it was standard, that would also be fully comp instead of fire and theft.
