Why am I finding myself looking at Fords recently.. must be all the JR and robmarriot postings…
I would quite like a white fiesta RST or a red Esc RST
But reliability may be an issue here.. I dunno..
What sort of prices are fiesta turbos going for these days???
is it worth changing over from a vaux to the blue badge?!
opinions.. tuning options.. max power on std engine etc would be great to help me be persuaded.. im seriously considering selling the nova for something different!

Ill be honest....
The amount of Ford owners i have known that have switched to Vauxhall they have all said the same thing...............
"I dont know what i was doing all those years with Fords"
No doubt if you have an desire to own one then its your call, but i think you would miss the Vaux fold
I think JR is fully aware of this also

In essence i believe it boils down to heritage.
Ford's hertitage is well documented through the early 80's and 90's as well as being an instigater of the "hot hatch" market, where they were undoubted leaders with the likes of the XR Series and RS Series, even today you see one driving down the road, scores of people have fond memories.... Plus the obvious presence in Motorsport over the years.
Vauxhall is a better kept secret maybe, arguably the car which lauched Vauxhall as a serious performance contender was the Chevette HS - 2.3 16v twin cam on carbs - farking thing was mental and would still show alot of new cars a clean set of heals.... Then the Astra GTE 16v really pushed vauxhall in that market.
I think the long nor short of it, Vauxhall's club sence is picking up pace, with more cars being reliased as decent drives and good performance, but it has been a very well kept secret until now - where the new VXR range SCREAMS in your face.
Vauxhall well documented Motorsport predigree is second to none as well something which people are picking up on
For me - Well i love Vauxhalls and doubt i will change. I was born in Luton, bred in Luton, i have met fantasic friends, great club area and decent contacts.
I would be a fool to change - but alot of it is personal preference...
If you need any further info - speak to the Ford to Vauxhall swithcers - that will make you stay

because its to the point thats theres is no point selling it (even when it works, as it worth fuck all)
will finish it, find a garage to put it in, and start again, maybe with a 100e or an anglia
