the SS will have the L76 6000cc V8 too. 370bhp but with DoD (Displacement on Demand), it shuts down 4 cylinders on part throttle to increase economy, then put your foot down and listen to all 8 fire up and mash your face 
this is the LS7, 470 lb-ft and 7000rpm redline

it is the most powerful engine GM have ever produced, and they had to limit the output. GM insiders believe this engine is capable of 650 bhp plus, and thats N/A whack a supercharger on and watch it eat Veyrons for brekkie

I knew they did all types like America but I presumed the most popular is Auto where as here we tend to drive stick (oh yes check out the lingo )
