thinking of punting the range rover on ebay... as i dont really need it, and i fancy buying a recovery truck to replace it.

Do you think it very unwise, or just daft to list it on 5day auction with no reserve? (its a 94 classic 3.9 V8 Vogue)?

i cant make up my mind.... it's crossing the border of a decent amount of money to loose/make

Pro's - more interest from folk thinkin gthey will get a bargain as its no reserve... and getting carried away with it!

Cons - some cunt getting a damn bargain as there is little interest

hmmm

just put in small print that its advertised elsewhere so you reserve the right to end auction earlier but only after letting winning buyer know and offering them a chance to beat the 'price' youve been offered elsewhere or som ebullshit story like that

if its worth between 2 and 3 k, theres no way i'd be risking it going for 500 quid or whatever not a chance

you could do what Carr said though, thats not a bad idea...

or, put a reserve of 1500 just incase

na.... thats all exactly what i dont do...

High starting prices are rubbish and dont attract bidders.

Low start, no reserve.... an di find if something is worth anything it will Sell at a resonable price.

Startoff high and folk dont 'bite'

Can i add a reserve later on

i dont want to spend the fee's on ebay reserve's

start at £100 with no reserve and it's a chance you take

personally i wouldn't, I started my Xe corsa at £2000 and got bidders and a buyer.

a car worth 3k with a start of £1500 isn't going to put bidders off IMHO

start it at 500 lower than what you are wanting, imo the people who bid low ammount are all piss tackers any way, start it off at a decent ammount and you will get genuine people.

I always use starting price as reserve, as otherwise you have to pay to have reserve and reserve puts potential bidders off. that way you only need one bidder.
