i wouldnt personally
my front cross member thing behind the bumper sat about 100mm tops off the road, was really a bit low TBH fucked the handling and took a couple chunks out the sump

ppl expect this to handle like shit but because its so low. but it handles rather well

if the shocks are solid and with a low centre of gravity, in theory should handle quite well

If the theory includes only your centre of gravity then yeah, it'll be excellent.

If you factor in limited suspension travel, stiff springing, visits to the bump stops occasionally, geometry thats wrong because the its out of tolerance and a lack of real ability to adjust the relative lateral stiffness of each end of the car, then things start to look worse.

Its got enough grip and the weight is forward so you've a fairly light stiff back end, which helps reduce what should be a very understeer tendency. Net effect of that though is they get snappy if you take too much advantage of it.

You're probably right in how it feels, but thats not entirely down to the choice of ride height.

very true ...

The problem i can see me having is the weight distribution because my rear is stripped out.

I now have a rear stut brace to stiffen up the back end and for somewhere to put the harnesses to.

When doing the wiring for the loom i may see about re-loacating the battery to the rear. Not really much else i can move to try and spread the weight that is already in the car other than adding more weight to the back?

4 point harnesses are the reason for no rear seats etc

Tank is in front of the axle so could potentially be further back, but then you've also moved the weight up higher and its a lot of messing for marginal benefit.

If the back is nice and stiff then it'll turn in well but they go snappy, which is OK if you like brown trowsers. Mine Corsa is mega understeery unless you chuck it, at which time you either get it right or need to wind it back to catch it. If it was lower the breakaway would be even less progressive than it currently isn't.

aye. hence why i dont see moving the fuel cell would be beneficial really

will find out soon i hope once its all fitted

dont think the nos will help me much going round bends lol

will see how it goes and potentially invest in some decent suspension
