Not being having a good couple of weeks car wise.
As some of you may know i bought a 99 F150 Lightning in black with only 15k miles on the clock. Picked it up just over a month ago.
2 weeks into ownership i was still over the moon with my new truck
Then.......
It all started to go wrong.
Was driving home on a country road from DVLA after putting my private plate on it as happy as larry when all of a sudden i hear a smash. As to my surprise some twat in a huge van hit my passenger mirror which then flew in and smashed my windscreen Great!
Luckily only a £60 insurance job but the glass takes 2 weeks to come in. Oh well i could live with that i suppose.
But it gets worse. A week later whilst on the slip road joing the motorway with a chav in his saxo next to me trying to give it large, i thought why not show him what my new toy can do. How wrong was i
100 yards later on the hard shoulder with a truck that won't even idle let alone move. Gutted is the only word that could describe how i was feeling.
To cut a long story short my truck is still sitting 2 miles away at my local specialist where it has been for the last 8 days and they haven't even got a clue whats wrong with it and to top it off, my windscreen is still smashed
So in a month of ownership i have only had 2 weeks enjoyment.
£17k well spent eh

It's looking like its something really simple. Possibly blocked exhaust. The company that it's with are too busy tho at the moment and only have time to look at it for a few hours a day. I counted 2 hummer h2's, 3 mustangs another f150 flareside and a lincoln navigator. All got major probs but only 2 mechanics. Had to wait a week just to get it booked in
