i think morettes would be lighter, especially with a lense removed

not sure.... will be removing most of them and just using 1 set of the lamps though (like brosters)

Then pipeing up a duct from the empty holes to my sealed airbox for the TB's... parp

Its just waiting for small parts... but as usual... i'm not in the country, nothing much is happening

Dave - Its a piperx one that goes over the same backing plate as a dome filter etc... hold on

so are airboxes better than seperate filters? thought they'd create restriction

the main problem with filters on throttle bodied engines is that the material soak up the heat and its difficult to keep them cool. an airbox protects them from the heat and allows you to vent air into it from another area on the car like AK is doing with removing the headlight for a cold air feed.

but... the pipercross airboxes collapse under load (or marks did anyway) and it restricts the power. marks car made more power with a dome filter than with the airbox on it.

yes.

push it with your hand, it bends.....

they might have changed the design though, but it was restricting the power output by sucking in and giving a smaller internal volume

also, the neck isnt wide enough really, it needs to be a fair bit bigger.

square metal box.... with filter on top 'cut-out' to go to bonnet scoop

mine fell apart lol! under load it would suck in and according to many people in the know, offer a restriction to the inlet....
