how come us vauxhall owners are aware of dodgy fuel leaks that need sorting on rex's but rex owners dont know to get it changed??

I've always wondered how these things don't go up in flames more often. The heat produced in the exhaust by N/A rotary units is insane.
Force inducing them and then putting a few years and god knows how many hours and miles of use and abuse and wear & tear on the whole car, and then realy going for it in every gear for the best part of an hour on one of the hottest days we've ever seen must inevitably be like putting petrol on a chip pan fire.
I've always wanted one of these, but if I got one, I think the first thing i'd do is renew the fuel lines and associated paraphernalia, and pop a couple of fire extinguishers in the boot. Maybe even go for a plumbed in system if I could afford it.
