went into a hole yset about 10cm deep yest with the left tyre!!! (hole is normal on our road)...
then i went to drive the car in the evening and it was pulling abit to one side till i got home this thing got really worse... so today i tried to check what was wrong.... found an untied ball joint and the shock absorber was leaking alot of oil!!
can i get somekind of refund from the local council???

Yep, go get photographic evidence now, with todays newspaper beside it and a rule showing the dimenions of the hole, also take pictures of where the hole is in the road then write them a letter. It might take a while though...

just asked dad about it... he said i wont get anything coz they say that if the hole is that big i should have seen it and avoided it!!!

The hole shouldn't be there. You shouldn't have scan the road for pout holes really, what do you pay road tax for?

Oh, you'll also need a stamped quote for replacing the ball joint and shock. Preferably from Vauxhall rather than a back street garage, but any reputable local place will sort it for you.

ed ur right but thats not our case!! we pay road taxes for nothing... all our road are full of holes! if any1 ever came to malta he can say! atleast now we r taking some money from EU to fix some of them...

UPDATE:
as a result of the broken shock abosorber, the other 1 broke down aswell. both will be replace today! together with timing belt, front and rear brakes, a ball joint, oil and probabbly water pump aswell. had to change vacuum sensor this week aswell and changed fuel pipe connected to the inlet
went to claim to the local council... would have to wait for approx 4-5yrs to get my money apart from a whole court case. not worth all the hassle. also the road was given tarmac two days after this happened.
