Written off, but allowed to be repaied and put back on the road iirc

there is 4 CATergories after a car is written off. cat d being the least damage done and is just little damage. cat c the car can still be put back on the road but at more of an expense. unsure about the others, theyre probably for the scrap

beyond economical repair, but as above can be repaired and put back on the road

majority of imports are cat d kus insurance cant be bothered to wait ages for the bits and stand the extra cost so write it off

you dont need one of those vehicle checks or re mot or anything

it basically means nothing other than its recorded 9 times out of 10 on the register
