right if anyone remembers i was in a crash back in march which i suffered back/neck injuries from. Have seen my GP on at least a dozen occasions, each time been given stronger pain killers, recieved physio etc, and have seen doctor advised by solicitor who's looked through my records and done his own examination and achknowledges that there is damage there to nerves but mainly muscle. well yesterday i went back to GP and they now think i may have infection in the damaged muscle which is scarely close to my spine etc so having blood tests etc. Anwayss....although yes i was signed off on the sick by GP, i couldnt afford to live on £65 per week, so i got put on shorter hours and light duties at work. my solictor has contacted head office and not my pub (im a supervisor for wetherspoons), so obviously head office has no record of me being off on the sick, although has said my hours were cut. now have letter off solicitor saying that i havent taken time off work etc which will effect my claim.
What is my next step? will it be enough to send a copy of the sick note to solictor saying that doctor had signed me off, and prove with bank records that i cant afford it? also letter off manager in pub to explain the pain iv been in in work, on light duties etc? or will it not matter coz i wasnt actually off? any help/advice/experience needed please

since you worked, better not deny it..and also h.office does not have that on record.
yes, letter from manager on site would be wise for evidence.

quite tricky this situation...but you have a lot of medical evidence to show injury
What will be your claim is crucial...if you claim for loss suffered from not working, your case is weak...but claiming for damage sustained and still ongoing which is directly affecting your work, would be a better bet

my biggest thing for claim is going to be the fact that i have injuries which wont ever go away totally, both my GP's and the doctor from solicitors have said that. when im old will get worse, lead to arthritus in back etc. now this infection thing has got me scared!

tbh the majority of the compensation will be made up from the pain and mental anguish suffered very little of the claim would come from loss of earnings any way.
the only thing that may happen if the insurance company may argue that your injuries were not that severe but saying that the doctor gave you a sick note and they cant really argue against that.
if the worse thing happens you will lose 2 weeks work, on the other hand i doubt you can claim for loss of earnings while you have been working lol.

i dont want to claim for loss of earnign besides for the fact that my hours were cut by 20-30 per week, only starting to get back up now. it is more on the pain im in, the fact of how many pain killers im taking (up to 20 per day on bad days) which i know is more than you should etc but i need them

yes, your claim should go in that direction...
you can start a treatment with a psychologist, will add even more weight to your claim especially if you are referred by your GP.
This will also helps yourself recover better
Hope you get better sooner

i dont think i need psychologist, im not trying to over exxagerate here to get higher claim, anyone who knows me/works with me knows the pain im in and knows its real enough. especially when im shifting 22 gallon kegs around then spend the next hour crying

Be warned this could go against your claim as there solicitior will try and say how do you know the injury isn't from your last accident?
I had this problem when I had an accident about 3 years ago and also one last year.
I would bear this in mind when answering questions

yeah when i saw doctor recommended by solicitor he said this but he gave his proffessional opinion that most the damage from last crash had cleared up and this is new damage. can tell who he gets paid by
